Summer 2024 FAFSA Program

The FAFSA is an essential step in accessing financial aid for college. We know this year's FAFSA has been challenging, but there is still time to complete your FAFSA and gain access to financial aid for Fall 2024. Through a federal grant, ICAN is working with high schools and community organizations across Iowa to expand FAFSA access for the Class of 2024, and provide the assistance you need to submit or correct your FAFSA form.

Individual Advising Appointments

ICAN will be offering extended evening and weekend hours throughout the summer so schedule an in-person or virtual appointment with an ICAN advisor. We will help you understand and submit your FAFSA form, and answer any questions you have. If you've already submitted your form and need to make corrections, we can help you with that too. Click here to schedule a free appointment.

Appointments are available in English and Spanish.

FAFSA Step by Step Virtual Events

Join us for a virtual FAFSA Step-by-Step event where our team of advisors will guide you through the form step-by-step, answering questions and reviewing your form with you before submission. We have events scheduled on the following dates:

FAFSA Training

As part of our efforts to increase FAFSA completion for the Class of 2024, ICAN is offering FAFSA training for all college admissions, financial aid, and student services professionals, as well as school counselors and CCTCs. ICAN is offering a FAFSA Completion Certification for college access professionals. This training will be at no-cost to those attending, and aims to increase the number of individuals trained to provide FAFSA assistance to students and families. The training is virtual and runs from 8:30 am until Noon.
